Wood Type Chicken Ranch 2010 SXSW Poster

The lovely Mike Dickenson from Chicken Ranch Records allowed me to just play with my new wood type and vintage cuts to create his 2010 label showcase poster. This was also the first time I worked with oil based ink. I loved the bright colors and the transparency. I also love the pocked and scarred texture of the type. You can't to that on a computer.... I love this poster equally with and without the grey layer. Can't wait to make some more wood type posters. So fun!!! (this poster was designed, well really compsed on the press bed, by ME!)

Bradley's Oilcans

Beacuse I love them

Signpress and Type

What else can I say about scoring a signpress that prints 2 1/2 ft x 5 ft and 700lbs of poster sized wood and metal type. Its like I won the printing lottery!!! Ready to make some beautiful posters

Narcissus! Gold Leaf

The amazing ladies at Narcissus Event Planning requested that I gold leaf the side of their business cards. At first I though, "This is impossible, but I'll try." And they turned our GORGEOUS!!! I love it when my creative clients inspire me to try something new. This card was designed by Shannon Douglas. I will post pics of the card itself later today.

John & Meagan

Blair also did this lovely one four our dear friends John & Megan who had the challenging theme of Pink Flamingoes and Mardi Gras. Turned out so lovely.

What a busy year!

So much printing work going on, hardly anytime to post... but here are some faves from 2009-2010. This invtation was designed by the amazing Blair Richardson of Little Mule studio.
